As a young queer person growing up in a traditional Afghan household I found that I had to hold on to something so I didn't collapse. Colapse from all that I carried in my heart. Being a refugee and brown skinned girl was difficult too. But Allen Ginsberg's work brought peace in my life, other beatnik writers also, but specially Ginsberg had the most influence on me.
